Rosemary’s Baby By: Ira Levin/ Book Review

Rosemary Woodhouse and her struggling actor husband Guy move into the Bramford, an old New York City apartment building with an ominous reputation and mostly elderly residents. Neighbors Roman and Minnie Castavet soon come nosing around to welcome the Woddhouse’s to the building, and despite Rosemary’s reservations about their eccentricity and the weird noises that she keeps, hearing, her husband takes a shine to them.

If you saw the movie Rosemary’s Baby then you know how the story goes and how it ends the book isn’t much different but you can feel the emotions and horror through the words in this book! This book had me hooked I really enjoyed reading it even though I have watched the movie a few times already! Rosemary and Guy move into the Bramford apartment, they soon become close to the Castavet’s their next door neighbors, Guy takes more of a liking then Rosemary’s she finds Minnie kind of noise. Soon Rosemary becomes pregnant and Minnie won’t leave her alone she recommends Rosemary to her own special doctor, making her special drinks and treats, and giving her a pendent to wear that has an awful smell. This pregnancy is very unusual she is losing weight and has an unbearable pain in her stomach that won’t go away everyone thinks it’s normal including the doctor and say’s it will pass “What are these people crazy” Rosemary’s friends thing! It’s like the baby is sucking the life out of her. Soon Rosemary starts to become suspicious of everyone around her the Castavet’s, her doctor and even Guy she begins not to trust! Could it be too late for Rosemary? I give this book a solid 4 stars!

P.S. I still love you By: Jenny Han/ Book Review

Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter. She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

arrows1-e1451904359187If you haven’t read To All the Boys I loved before, please do so, before you read this review so you won’t get any spoilers I have a full review on book one here on my blog.

I absolutely love these books it had me hooked since book one! Lara Jean wasn’t sure where this pretend relationship would go with Peter, but they fell for each other and started dating for real. But it does come with some trust issues, and a few bumps, when a video of them goes viral on the internet although they aren’t doing anything wrong but kissing, but to everyone else it seems like more and now the world and anyone can see it. First the letters get sent out, now this! They have no clue who could have done such a thing? There relationship gets tested when Gen Peter’s ex won’t leave him alone, and he always keeps going to her whenever she needs him! Maybe there is still something there between them! And why is he so secretive whenever Lara Jean asks what is going on! Then John Amborse McClaren comes back into the picture and Lara Jean remembers all the feelings she once had for him, the more they hang out! Jenny Han has done is again the way she writes just draws you right in and makes you fall in love with these characters! Not sure yet if I’m Team Peter or Team John!

The Cellar By: Natasha Preston/ Book Review

My stomach dropped as a tall, dark-haired man stepped into view. Had he been hiding between the trees? No.Sorry. “Gulping”. I took a step back.” I’m not Lily”. “I’m Summer”. You have the wrong person. “You utter freak”! I could hear my pulse crashing in my ears. How stupid to give him my real name. He continued to stare at me, smiling. It made me feel sick. “You are Lily”, It made me sick. Before I could blink, he threw his arms forward and grabbed me. I tried to shout, but he clasped his hand over my mouth, muffling my screams. I’m going to die!

Summer gets kidnapped by this guy and puts her into a sound proof cellar, when she looks around she notices three other girls there who he also calls by a flower name “WTF” she thinks what is going on? She is completely freaked out, but the other girls are acting like this is normal cooking, cleaning! Are they brainwashed? What is going on down here? Why are they acting this way instead of trying to escape. Her boyfriend and family are frantic what could have happened to her and nobody saw or heard anything they have no leads at all even police can’t seem to find any evidence. They start a party search, post flyers, and have a tip line going! And the kidnapper is right there beside her boyfriend and family willing to help!!! I’m going to give this book a 3 out of 5 stars, it was a bit slow in some parts, but the last few chapters was pretty good and the ending and outcome was a good plot twist!

The Thing about Ever After By: J M Raphaelle/ Book Review

Does happily Ever After exist? Jack and Ellie made a very drastic decision about relationship, and now have to contend with the consequences of their impetuous choice. He loves her beyond all measure she put all her trust in him and gave him her heart he healed it, after all. But even true love can shatter when unforeseeable forces are at play when insecurities and fears remain when the deeds of one negatively affect the other when secretes linger. Jack and Ellie bet everything on each other. But as their relationship deepens, so do the complications. Love and ardent passion, Hope and distrust, growth and failures, normality and chaos, honesty, and misunderstandings, All coexist within The Thing About Ever After…This is the sequel to The Thing About Love!

I completely fell in love with Jack and Ellie in The Thing about Love, so I couldn’t wait for book two! They are completely crazy in love about each other so they decided to get married right away, but of course plan a wedding for family and friends in a couple of months. They come to learn about living together, and of course their sexual chemistry is as strong as ever! All of sudden Ellie gets these text messages from an unknown person saying they have been intimate with her husband while she was away on a business trip, she dismisses because she knows how much Jack loves her, but how well does she really know him? Did they get married to fast? Does he have any secrets? I could go on and on about this book but I don’t want to spoil it! This book is so well written I love the story line because no matter what a relationships goes through love can conquer all obstacles or can it? I guess you will have to read this book so you can find out! And remember Mike from book one well guess what he is back and full of surprises!!!  I definitely give this book a 4 out of 5 stars! So well worth the read! You can pick up your copy at a great price on Amazon!

Pretty Baby By: Mary Kubica/ Book Review

Heidi Wood has always been a charitable women. Still, her husband and daughter are horrified when Heidi returns home one day with a young women named Willow and her four month-year old baby in tow. Disheveled and apparently homeless, this girl could be a criminal-or worse. Nevertheless, Heidi invites Willow and the baby to take refuge in their home, despite her family’s objections. As clues into Willow’s past begin to surface, Heidi is forced to decide how far she’s willing to go to help a stranger. What starts as an act of kindness quickly spirals into an unrelenting web of lies and a story far more twisted than anyone could have anticipated.

This book is a Psychological Thriller! 414 pages!

This story is told by three people Heidi, her husband Chris, and Willow. Where to begin this book was so good!!! Heidi sees a girl with her baby at a train station on her way to work and wonders why this girl is there with a baby in the cold, she can’t stop thinking about this girl all day and everyday until she sees her again still with the same clothes the suitcase and the baby. She starts to wonder why and what she is doing out there, then one day she decided to bring her home. Her husband and her twelve-year-old daughter think she is crazy for bringing a complete stranger into their home. Chris decided to do some investigation on this girl to find out who she is and where she came from. He only finds a twitter account with her name, but the picture isn’t of Willow it’s another girl named willow could this just be a coincidence he thinks. Is Willow even her real name? Where are her parents? And the baby’s father? Is she a criminal out on the run or just a runaway girl with nowhere to go? This story is so intense that it had me hooked right off the first page! The Plots and Twists, I couldn’t read fast enough! There is a bit of sexual mature content in this book!

Overall I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars if you enjoy Psychological Thrillers I would recommend this book!
