November 9 By:/ Colleen Hoover/Book Review

Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist. Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon-and simultaneously his novel-be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?

I don’t really typicial read Romance books but I wanted to give it a try and by some recomendations Colleen Hoover was the right choice to go with and I’m so glad I did.

This book had all my emotions come out some I didn’t even know existed in me I wanted to cry, I wanted to scream WHY, and I laughed and giggled some things I never thought I would do while reading a book. Fallon and Ben agree to meet once a year on November 9th, within that year there is no contact they never exchange numbers or emails so they are not tempted to contact each other, and no social media either. Secrets come out and their relationship is tested will they ever be able to be together after what has been discovered the date November 9 means more to both of them other than the fact that it’s the day they agreed to meet. I absolutely loved every second of this book Colleen has a way of capturing her readers and throwing them into an emotional roller coaster she does us all dirty but in a great way I fell in love with the characters I felt their pain and happiness through the words and every page I devoured this book whole and it will definitely stick with me this will not be the last book I read of hers but she has also opened my eyes to read other romance novels by other authors maybe I have finally found a new gene in Romance novels. I gave this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The Fiancee By:/Kate White/ Book Review

They had everything they needed for a perfect family vacation: close-knit relatives, a bucolic setting… and a murderer in their midst? Summer’s looking forward to a break from hustling for acting work in Manhattan when she, her husband Gabe, and Gabe’s nine-year-old son arrive at the annual family get-together at her in-law’s sprawling estate. On the agenda are leisurely gourmet meals, tennis matches, and plenty of relaxation by the pool. But this year Gabe’s brother Nick has invited his new flame Hannah, whom Summer immediately recognizes from a few years before. Oddly, her brother-in-law’s girlfriend claims not to know her. Yet she charms the other family members, and after Nick announces that he’s proposed to Hannah, Summer doesn’t have much choice but to grin and bear it. Then the reunion is rocked by tragedy when a family member is found dead. Through the doctors attribute the loss to natural causes, a grieving Summer fears that the too-good-to-be-true Hannah is involved, even as Gabe dismisses her suspicions. How far will Summer go to expose the truth? As she investigates just what Nick’s fiancee might have done to keep her perfect image intact, she begins to fear that the first death might only be the beginning…

My Review:

The storyline and plot were promising to me, Summer goes to her in-laws there she meets Hannah and right away she recognizes her from an acting gig they had done before but Hannah claims she had never done that acting gig or has ever met Summer. Then someone is found dead but Summer knows it’s not from natural causes while everyone around is mourning this horrible sudden death Summer is suspicious of the one person who could of done it Hannah I mean who else could it be! After that I felt the story was rushed then we find out who the killer was they quickly explain why and how then the book ends also I didn’t enjoy the reason for the murder as to why they had to die to me I thought it was a ridiculous reason I wanted more something crazy or Wow but unfortunately I didn’t get that. I’m giving this book a 2.5 out of 5 stars. I also wanted to mention that the author did have a great writing style I will give this author another try in the future with other books!

The New Husband By: D.J. Palmer/ Book Review

What makes Simon Fitch so perfect? He knows all her favorite foods, music, and movies. Her son adores him. He was there when she needed him most. He anticipates her every need. He would never betray her like her first husband. The perfect husband. He checks all the boxes. The question is, Why? Nina Garrity learned the hard way that her missing husband, Glen, had been leading a double life with another woman. But with Glen gone-presumably drowned while fishing on his boat-she couldn’t confront him about the affair or find closure to the life he blew apart. Now a year and a half later, Nina has found love again and hopes she can put her shattered world back together. Simon, a widower still grieving the death of his first wife, thinks he has found his dream girl in Nina, and his charm and affections help breakthrough to a heart hardened by betrayal. Nina’s teenage son Connor, embraces Simon as the father he wishes he could have been, while her friends see a different side to him, and they aren’t afraid to use the word obsession. Nina works hard to bridge the divide that’s come between her daughter and Simon. She wants so badly to believe her life is finally getting back on track, but she’ll soon discover that the greatest danger to herself and her children is the lies people tell themselves.

My Review:

I keep seeing this on the shelves of every store I went to so I decided to pick it up because the synopsis sounded really good.  Nina a widow after her husband disappears from a fishing trip that he likes to go solo to just clear his mind. She meets Simon who is actually a History teacher at her daughter Maggie’s school. From the start, Maggie did not like Simon at all even Nina’s friends weren’t so fond of him every time she would make plans Simon would talk her out of them, making her see her friends less but she would always make excuses for him ” I mean he even built me a gym in the basement so I didn’t have to go to the gym so sweet” Right!?!  What is up with this man I mean no man could be too attentive unless he has alternative motives!  Then Maggie gets a text from an unknown number! This is dad Maggie I’ve done horrible things and please don’t tell your mother I have contacted you!!! I thought this book was well written and well played out with the twist! I gave this book an even 3 stars out of 5.

The Chain By: Adrian McKinity/ Book Review

It’s something parents do every morning: Rachel Klein drops her daughter at the bus stop and heads into her day. But a cell phone call from an unknown number changes everything: it’s a woman on the line, informing her that she has Kylie bound and gagged in her back seat, and the only way Rachel will see her again is to follow her instructions exactly: pay a ransom, and find another child to abduct. This is no ordinary kidnapping: the caller is a mother herself, whose son has been taken, and if Rachel doesn’t do as she’s told, the boy will die. You are not the first. And you will certainly not be the last. Rachel is now part of The Chain, an unending and ingenious scheme that turns victims into criminals and is making someone else very rich in the process. The rules are simple, the moral challenges impossible; find the money fast, find your victim, and then commit a horrible act you’d have thought yourself incapable of just twenty-four hours ago. But what the masterminds behind The Chain know are that parents will do anything for their children. It turns out that kidnapping is only the beginning.

My Review:

This book is every parent’s nightmare can you imagine dropping your child at their bus stop and then getting a call that someone has your child and they will kill them and find another child if you don’t do exactly what they tell you to do. That’s what happened to Rachel when she gets that call her life changed right then and there if you want your child back you need to first send 25,000 to this unknown bank account second you need to kidnap another child and third you need to make sure that the parents of the child you have kidnaped do exactly what they are told and they have to also steal another child in order to get your child back if they mess up it’s your fault and you will have to kill their child and find another. They have to follow The Chain and once you’re in it’s for life they know you’re every move what calls you make what you talked about where you’re going and who you’re with there is no escaping them!  I listened to this book on audio and it did not disappoint there was so much going on at a fast-paced and I enjoyed every bit. I gave this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.
