She steals ancient documents from the Chancellor’s secret collection. She is pursued by bounty hunters sent by her father.
She is a Princess Lia, a seventeen First Daughter of the House of Morrigham.
Lia can’t abide, to marry someone she’s never met to secure a political alliance. So she escapes to a village on her Wedding Day!
She settles in a town among the folks but when two mysterious strangers arrive unaware that one is a Prince and the other is an assassin sent to kill her.
Lia can’t stand the thought of marrying a man she has never met before so on her Wedding Day morning she flees with Pauline at her side. They both settle in and become comfortable among this quite town until these two handsome men come to town! One being the Prince and the other an Assassin but neither of them know that.
Will anyone know she is a Princess who just fled and left her life of a Princess behind? Will they ever find out who she really is? And what is this unknown power that Lia has!?!
I really enjoyed this book I loved the characters and how well put together the story is written. I enjoyed the connection of the characters. I read this book in three days, which is a recommendation in itself.
The only Con I have for this book is when the Assassin’s talked in Vendon language there was no translation on what they were saying to one another so made me feel like I didn’t what was going on when they were communicating in the story! But maybe that was meant to be so we as the readers will find out later what they were talking about in another book which I hope so!
This story was so well put together I loved the world and all the different places and people they meet along the way. The connection, loyalty I fell in love with Lia character and the Prince Rafe.
So my over all thoughts are I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this book it is such a great read, This book has a surprise twist which sets up a great continue to book number two which is The Heart of Betrayal, it makes me excited to see what lays ahead for Lia? May I also add what an amazing book cover this book has!
